Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. Her modeling career started in Italy, where she was raised and was born in California. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut role. Then, in a small role in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very for a long time. It was a difficult transition for Amy because she had change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't thought of as great actors and so tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Yet, somehow Amy refused to give up and transitioned to more prestigious roles. It all started with the TV series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. In the course of a couple of years, Amy took the leap into bigger roles. The film she starred in was the 2005 love story Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy attained the fame she'd been seeking for over 10 years when her film just Friends debuted. She then went on to work in many of the greatest film productions, such as the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless with Jason Statham, in which she played a recognizable character.
